Fasteners for thin sheet metal
The SEI series of nylon 6/6 fasteners, introduced by Richco International is stated to provide strong threads in metal sheets that are too thin to be tapped.
"They allow for right-angle assemblies and are an alternative to self-clinching fasteners", says Richco's Neale Lancaster. "Using SEI products will reduce hardware requirements."
The fasteners are installed by rotating in the side of the panel - they can be removed by pinching the spring leg and rotating. They are available in two internal thread sizes - #6-32 and M34 - in UL94 nylon 6/6.
