Versatility gland plate lets the user choose protection level

Cable management and fastener distributor Anixter Component Solutions has launched a range of modular gland plates with interchangeable sealing inserts. Users are no longer required to use fixed flanges with a certain number of predetermined openings.
With this versatile system, the assembler can decide how many and what size openings to include in the flange. There is also a choice of protection levels, depending on individual requirements.
The company suggests that the system is very compact in its design. Installation is a simple matter of putting the inserts together and placing them in the frame. The inserts lock on to each other as well as to the frame, ensuring a safe and secure installation.
Fibreglass reinforced polypropylene is used for the frame and the inserts, ensuring a very rigid structure. The soft TPE lets us incorporate push-out membrane seals with exceptional sealing properties. The two materials together with our patented system make it possible to have a flange system with a very slim design.
