Low cost epoxy is highly conductive

Eurobond Adhesives has developed an electrically conductive epoxy adhesive called Elecolit 3012. The material is a one component solvent free paste, which is silver filled to provide the conductivity.

According to managing director Simon Dearing, the adhesive has especially good conductive properties and gap filling attributes. It can be processed via dispenser or screen printing and is ideally suited for populating PCBs, bonding chips and other electronic components and bonding electrical items used in white goods and automotive applications. Elecolit 3012 will tolerate -40 to +200oC. It can be thermally cured in two hours at 100oC or at 150oC for just 10 minutes. This low cost material is available packaged in either syringes or containers.
