It’s non-hardening formula allows for easy disassembly and unlike silicones, it won’t go brittle over time, which is a crucial advantage in areas subject to vibration and movement. Highly resistant to oils, fuels, lubricants, and coolants, Wellseal is ideal for engine builds, mechanical assemblies, and classic restorations.

Looking for a reliable, leak-proof seal?
Wellseal is a non-hardening jointing compound originally developed for Rolls-Royce engines and is still trusted today in many applications.
Designed to seal flanged or threaded joints, this versatile compound is compatible with a wide variety of materials.
Formulated with a resin base for optimal sealing performance, it’s commonly used to seal aluminium cylinder heads, transmission boxes, threaded connections, and flat-faced joints.
With an operating temperature range of -55°C up to +200°C, it maintains its integrity under extreme thermal conditions without degrading or breaking down.
Application is easy: cleaning the mating surfaces, then apply a thin, even layer with a small soft brush to both faces. It can be used with or without a gasket, depending on your assembly design. Let it become tacky for 5-10 minutes, then assemble the parts.
If it’s good enough for Rolls Royce, it’s probably good enough for you.
