Founded in 1989, Viking Industrial Products is a UK-based distributor of tapes and adhesives. The family-run business established itself as 3M’s primary e-commerce partner for tapes, adhesives and abrasives and one of their premium UK distribution partners. Viking Industrial Products offering includes masking and packaging tapes, specialist printed tapes, hazard warning tapes, contact and two part adhesives, abrasives and flooring tapes. It serves customers across the aerospace, automotive, metal working, contracting and printing industries.

“The Viking business model, a strong cultural and strategic fit with Techsil. I am grateful to the Benne! family, who have built a very successful business, and I am pleased that Colin will remain with the business in the short term to support this transition. Viking will continue to operate under the same name, from the same location and with the same employees and I’m looking forward to seeing what more we can achieve together.” Chris Dilley, managing director at Techsil.

In 2023, Techsil acquired Eurobond Adhesives. Eurobond Adhesives is a British-born adhesives, adhesive tapes, sealants, coatings, UV light systems and dispensing machinery supplier, established in 1984.

Techsil said that it and Eurobond share similar values, business models and end-markets, making it a great strategic and cultural fit, focusing on delivering outstanding customer service and excellent products.

Alongside Eurobond branded products, the acqusition will bring on board Wagner Reinhardt-Technik metering, mixing and dispensing machinery for one & two-part silicone, LSR, polyurethane and polysulphide material.

Two technical sales staff, Kevin and Andy, will join Techsil’s technical sales team. “This augments our broad technical adhesive offering with the onus on adhesive, potting and thermal management solutions for the manufacturing sector and introduces new customers and market segments such as sign, glass and sheet metal bonding, amongst others,” the company added.
