Scigrip introduces SG800 adhesive for transportation

1 min read

IPS, a global manufacturer of structural and surfacing adhesive products, has launched Scigrip SG800 methacrylate adhesive.

Formulated to meet the exacting specifications of the transportation industry, SG800 is said to feature excellent fatigue and impact resistance—especially at high temperatures. SG800 held strong and performed well in industry specific tests for lap shear strength and heat resistance, including ASTM D3163 and PACCAR’s CMT038.

SG800 provides a primerless metal bond, requiring little to no surface preparation by the user. It also is claimed to have excellent flow characteristics and stays put with no sagging or dripping during product application.

The availability of formulations with different working times (four to 16 minutes) provides enough flexibility for a variety of transportation and industrial assembly operations.

SG800 is available in 490ml cartridges, as well as in bulk.

UK distributors for Scigrip adhesives are Biesterfeld Petroplas of Abingdon, Multibond Solutions of Co Durham and Glue Online of Bidford on Avon.
