Nordson BKG is a part of Nordson’s polymer processing systems division and a company that specialises in melt delivery and palletising solutions.
The deal builds on FIMIC’s appointment as the exclusive agent for Nordson BKG products in Italy announced in January 2025.
This enhanced collaboration marks a step in developing advanced technologies designed to revolutionise plastics processing and recycling.
"This strategic partnership with FIMIC allows us to leverage our combined expertise and resources to accelerate innovation and deliver unparalleled value to our customers," said Sven Conrad, global segment development director at Nordson BKG. “We believe this collaboration will transform the landscape of plastics processing and recycling, resulting in more sustainable and efficient solutions.”
Erica Canaia, CEO of FIMIC added: "Building upon our existing relationship with Nordson BKG, this deeper partnership marks a crucial step toward developing cutting-edge technologies that will address the growing demands of the plastics industry. We are excited to unveil the results of our collaboration at K 2025."
In March, Nordson introduced OptiSure Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) software and confocal laser as add-ons to its existing vision-guided dispensing robots.
OptiSure AOI add-ons provide optical assurance of fluid deposit accuracy and integrate with Nordson EFD’s proprietary DispenseMotion software. Using robots’ existing vision systems to verify fluid deposit widths and diameters, the AOI software determines if dispense requirements have been met. Constant closed-loop feedback provides automated quality control (QC) data, saving manufacturers time and cost.
“Optical assurance of fluid deposit accuracy in an off-the-shelf solution is a game changer for our customers,” said Johnathan Titone, global product line manager for automated dispensing systems, Nordson EFD. “We saw a need in the market to integrate automated dispensing and AOI and we’re pleased to provide a market-leading solution.”
