Platinum is said to be the highest rating in the EcoVadis ranking and places Bulten in the top 1% of all companies assessed.

“The award is proof that Bulten continues to be a leader in sustainable development, and that it is well integrated into all our processes. EcoVadis raises the bar every year for its awards, which is an extra motivator for us. It is a source of great pride to see our development and the activities we undertake being recognized like this,” said Marlene Dybeck, senior vice president HR & sustainability at Bulten Group.

EcoVadis is a provider of business sustainability ratings with a global network of over 130,000 companies. Its approach is based on international sustainability standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative, the UN Global Compact, and ISO 26000. The EcoVadis assessment focuses on how well a company has integrated sustainability into its business strategy and management system. They look at how each company manages its impact on the environment, working conditions and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement, and also how transparent their work is.

In July, the board of Bulten announced the appointment of Axel Berntsson as new president and CEO.

Berntsson comes most recently from the position as president and CEO of Absolent Air Care Group, which he has held since 2018. Prior to that, he was CEO of the subsidiary Absolent for two years. He also has experience from senior roles within the companies ESAB and CPS Color and has worked as management consultant at Accenture. Axel holds a MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden.

“The Board is very pleased with the recruitment of Axel Berntsson. He has solid experience from several global industrial companies and has great experience of change management, as well as of creating long-term shareholder value. With his background and leadership, I am convinced that he will successfully develop the company in new customer segments and markets,“ says Ulf Liljedahl, chairman of the Board.

Berntsson will take up his new role no later than 22 January 2025.
