AS9100 is strongly supported and adhered to by major aerospace OEMs and is becoming a pre-requisite for manufacturers wishing to supply to this sector.
Now widely known as Bak Fin, the company believes the certification reflects its commitment to meeting and exceeding the increasingly stringent industry requirements for aerospace related products and assures that its manufacturing processes consistently meet the requirements and expectations of customer's presenting the most challenging applications.
Managing director Paul Watkins-Burke says the new accreditation compliments Baker & Finnemore's other acclaimed accreditations including ISO/TS16949:2009, ISO 14001:2004, ISO 9001:2008 and OHSAS 18001:2007.

Bak Fin, has come a long way from its origins as a producer of high quality dip-type fountain pen nibs. The company, which now has almost 160 years of experience in the design and manufacture of precision pressings in ferrous and non-ferrous materials with particular emphasis on the spring quality type, has progressed to supplying many different industries with components that could either be pressed or strip-formed from steel. Today it is best known as the manufacturer of the Starlock push-on fastener.
