Celebrating 10 years as the UK’s leading engineering design event, EDS is UK’s only event entirely dedicated to engineering, electronics and embedded design.

The Engineering Design Show (EDS) returns to the Coventry Building Society Arena, bringing two days of innovation, partnerships and excellence for the engineering design community. With over 200 solution providers, 30+ hours of free conference sessions and workshops and all the latest design innovations on display, EDS has everything to support UK design engineers.

80% of stand space has already been sold and exhibitors span a massive range of design solutions, including 3D printing, fasteners & adhesives, design software, drives and controls, embedded systems, labelling, laser making, motion control, PCB manufacture & assembly and many more.

For example, exhibiting again this year is Inseto (UK) , an ISO-accredited specialist technical distributor of adhesives, will be displaying a comprehensive range of adhesives, sealants and encapsulants from Delo Industrial Adhesives.

Another is Robafoam, a specialist in robotic foam sealing. This automated service is a high quality alternative to manually applied self-adhesive gaskets. Robafoam delivers accuracy and control through varying robotic speeds and flow rates.

Visitors can also enjoy over 30+ hours of free conference sessions lead by industry experts discussing the key issues and trends that are driving innovation within the design community. Three conference theatres will run in parallel curated by the market-leading journals: Eureka, New Electronics and The Engineer. On top of this, visitors can also enjoy free-to-attend, insightful workshop sessions lead by leading solution providers.

Sessions confirmed this year include:

  • ‘Welcome to the fourth agricultural revolution’, Ben Scott-Robinson, Small Robot Company
  • ‘Accelerating Innovation to Design the Ultimate Net Zero Powertrain’, Francis Lempp, Carnot LTD
  • ‘Joining The Dots. How can the Cloud help me make better products faster?’ Ian Pilkington, Dassault Systemes

Other showfloor attractions include a simulator of the Airspeeder drone (pictured below). Airspeeder is the world’s first electric flying racing car series, built on the philosophy that nothing accelerates technical progress like sporting competition. The next-generation of sport plays the same role the pioneers of Formula One in driving technical development and building public acceptance for a new mobility revolution. The eVTOL sector is primed to transform urban aerial transport, global logistics and even remote medical transport with a clean-air, zero-emissions aerial transport solution.

Also to be showcased will be winning designs in the Efficiency for Access Design Challenge, a global, multi-disciplinary competition that empowers teams of students to help accelerate clean energy access.

Finally, EDS will celebrate its anniversary with a party! At the end of the first day, all visitors and exhibitors will be invited along to raise a glass and celebrate everything to do with engineering design.

Simon Bonell, sales director for EDS, adds: “There is no better opportunity in the UK for design engineers to network with their peers. We are the only show dedicated to engineering, electronics and embedded design and we have continued to bring together the best suppliers, speakers and products.”
