Self piercing pins save time and money

The assemblers and manufacturers can improve productivity and save time and money when fixing serial plates, cable ties and ground tags onto base metal without pre-drilling for rivets nor cleaning prior to using adhesives.

Metal-Tacks are specially hardened self piercing pins that make their own
hole to fasten light loads onto most hard castings and metals in a simple and easy procedure. A specially designed air hammer running at 5 bar forces the self piercing Metal-Tack pin firmly into the base material to provide a permanent fixture.

The system is in every day use in the USA and throughout Europe in the automotive, aeronautical, oilfield and general engineering production industries, whenever fixing parts onto metal is part of the production process.

Metal-Tacks are distributed throughout the UK and Ireland by Network Fasteners from its new headquarters in South Wales. Visitors to the Fastening & Assembly Solutions Exhibition being held at the National Motorcycle Museum will have the opportunity of seeing the Metal-Tacks system in the flesh.
