We are pleased to report that following on from the events of Engineering Materials Live our latest addition, The TSI PolyMax™ Laser Plastics analyser was received with huge success!

Despite only being recently launched, it has already been sold to the market in applications ranging from waste material sorting - to maximise value - through to Positive Material Identification (PMI) for high end applications where the wrong material use could lead to an expensive failure and loss of reputation. Uniquely, the new PolyMax™ Plastics Analyser takes the guesswork out of plastics identification with its ability to determine light and black plastics with equal effectiveness and accuracy at every stage of the recycling process with a simple point-and-shoot operation.

The analyser is preloaded with a comprehensive library of materials allowing users to rapidly identify plastics in any form from all major families and subfamilies of plastics: Polyethylene (PE), Polystyrene, Nylon, Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), Polycarbonate (PC) and Polypropylene. The PolyMax analyser also features a lightweight, ruggedized NEMA-4 portable enclosure, a large 5" colour touch screen, an on-board camera for time-stamped report generation, and even allows users to add custom plastics to their own library.

The PolyMax™ further strengthens the Niton UK range which has recently been enhanced by the Thermo Niton XL5 X-ray fluorescence (XRF) alloy analyser – the world’s smallest and most powerful handheld XRF analyser, able to identify all grades of alloys with unparalleled speed, accuracy and precision. The Thermo Niton XL2 100G– the most cost-effective analyser to date - and now the TSI Chemlite™ Laser Metals Analyser which has revolutionised the analysis of light metals with speed and accuracy.

Since 2000, Niton UK has established itself as an expert and leader in the UK for handheld material analysis solutions. As a family run business we have delivered and installed over 2500 analysers in a wide variety of applications and companies ranging from the small scrap dealer to world class, blue chip manufacturing companies and government bodies tasked with policing strict adherence to material regulations.
