Cable gland series will suit many industries

A series of cable glands just launched by Richco International has been designed to permit entry of a cable, flexible cable or insulated conductor into an enclosure.

The company says that the gland provides a combination of benefits including sealing, earthing, bonding, insulation, cable guarding and strain relief. Nylon PA6 is used to make the gland bodies, the sealing rings and inserts, which are UL and VDE approved They are available in sizes from PG thread 7 to 48 and metric thread from 10m to 110m. Sealing is to IP68 and all parts are RoHS and Reach compliant. Richco envisages applications of the new glands to include machinery and plant engineering, railway vehicles, shipbuilding, and power engineering. The gland will also find uses in electric drives and controls, industrial lighting, white goods and telecom. Meet Richco at the FAST Exhibition, National Motorcycle Museum, 21st October 2010.
