Eurobond Adhesives is highlighting its high-performance USP class VI medical grade ultra-violet curing and cyanoacrylate (instant curing) adhesives developed for use in the manufacture of medical devices.

Vitralit 7989 is described as an adhesive of medium viscosity used for the bonding of plastics in applications such as the manufacture of blood-pressure transducers, surgical masks, chest drain bag sets, and arteriograph manifolds. "It exhibits excellent peel and tensile strength and is resistant to most chemicals and gases", reports Eurobond's managing director Simon Dearing. Vitralit 1810 is "an excellent laminating ultra-violet adhesive for polyethylene". It also bonds to a variety of difficult-to-bond plastics and glass and can be used to coat epdm rubber products. It is used in the manufacture of tubing in, for example, membrane oxygenators. Cyanolit 241F is a low-viscosity, instant curing, mini-substrate bonding adhesive. It is stated to produce high-strength bonds on many difficult-to-bond substrates and can be used post-assembly by capillary penetration. Cyanolit 203TX is a flowable gel instant adhesive "with excellent gap-fill capabilities", says Simon Dearing. "It can be dispensed automatically and applied to vertical surfaces." The product is used in the manufacture of tubing sets for infusion and blood testing, making insulin sets, bonding latex balloons, and for making high/low-pressure catheters.
