TAILOR-MADE DAMPERS IN 14 DAYS

Cam-Shoc Dampers are self-contained, maintenance-free, hydraulic damping units. They are designed and engineered to absorb, meter and control kinetic energy with the movement of the piston through the oil creating the damping characteristic.

Camloc Motion Control had added a range of hydraulic dampers to its gas struts and springs portfolio. The units will provide damping solutions suitable for arresting and controlling a wide variety of applications – from a few kilos in weight, such as lids, cabinets and ladder racks on vehicles – through much heavier weights, such as armoured doors and specialist blast mitigation solutions for use on military vehicles and other highly demanding applications. Available in carbon steel and stainless steel, these compactly-designed, reliable units operate at a temperature range from -40oC to +100oC, making them highly durable and maintenance-free. "Generally, dampers are designed to influence the characteristics of movement by providing the controlled stoppage of a weight or lid, for example," explained engineering manager, Matt Warne. "With our new Cam-Shoc Dampers, we'll work closely with our customers to either choose the most appropriate damper for their specific application, or even custom-design the units to achieve their particular damping or mounting needs." Using the latest computer techniques, Camloc's design engineers will be able to create manufacturing prototypes for testing on applications within 14 days. "We recognise that no two applications are the same, so it's important we provide our customers with this bespoke service," added Warne. "Whether they're used in velocity control, deceleration control or momentum change, we'll choose or create a high-quality Cam-Shoc Damper that will meet our customers' exact requirements." The range now includes standard oil-filled dampers, oil-filled dampers with separator pistons, gassed emulsion filled dampers with or without separator piston and a military blast mitigation dampers to STANAG 4569.
