Pin hinge
EMKA has found that for infrequently used access panels, where a quick lift-off facility is needed, a spring-loaded pin hinge is "the optimal solution".
Andy Billingham explains that with this fact in mind the company has introduced its 1117 pin hinge program which encompasses a quick-clip plastic-housed U6 variant, U3 and U5 versions for screwdriver fixing, and the U1 weld-on type in mild steel or stainless steel. "All offer a spring-loaded steel pin with quick manual retraction for 'super fast' panel removal and fully retained parts to make life easy in original equipment assembly or on-site installation and/or maintenance."
The program covers racking side panels, machine covers, equipment shrouding, etc. in which lightweight panels often are used and a high degree of sealing is not required.
