Users can find news and information concerning the advantages of adhesive bonding solutions for architecture. Especially the “Dry Static Bonding” is currently a prominent topic and assists in modern profile system applications. Due to modern design trends the building industry faces the difficult challenge of putting both architects’ and building owners’ concepts into practice. Bonding technology fulfills most of these demands. The advantages compared to conventional, mechanical technologies are diverse. Valuable resources are saved e.g. by using Lohmann tape instead of steel reinforcements for PVC profiles. This additionally improves the profile’s insulation because the steel reinforcement, which usually creates a thermal bridge is no longer required. Adhesive bonding allows the designer to overcome common boundaries. The joining of different materials is often only possible through adhesive bonding. Thus, the section “Why Bonding” includes important information that proves the progressiveness of bonding technologies.
