Perfect to deploy with adhesive technologyIn the assembly process the RIVTAC® is driven at high speed into the components to be joined such that it penetrates the materials of both components. Because this high speed penetration cause a short-term, but significant rise in temperature of the joining zone, the materials’ momentarily increased malleability enables the material of the joining part material to be effectively displaced into the straight knurls of the RIVTAC® shaft. As a result, a joint of the highest integrity is achieved.
Moreover, for high strength metals, such as steels, there is a non-positive connection due to the inherent grouting and compression of the material.
A very broad selection of material combinations can be joined up to 6mm total thickness including thin into thick and soft into hard materials.
