Flangeform® is a high strength captive fastener system which provides high performance threaded fixings in thin gauge sheet metal applications. With a proven track record for product enhancement combined with cost reduction, Flangeform® is widely accepted and used within the automotive, appliance, electronic and general sheet metal industry.
Flangeform® is available in both nut and stud variants in sizes M4 to M12 and in equivalent unified ranges. The Flangeform® fastener plunges into a pre-punched hole and wraps itself around the material whilst the unique rib features embed themselves into the workpiece thus providing an integral high strength attachment point.
Utilising PSM's feed systems for in-die applications, Flangeform® is able to offer considerable cost savings compared with traditional welding techniques. A variety of options and system designs are available utilizing existing press equipment from manual loading to fully automated handling & installation. The feed systems can be used in a progression or transfer press, robotic cell or off-line presses, feeding both nuts & studs in various orientations & combinations
