Hex head slotted screws ranged enhanced

Bülte has extended its range of hex head slotted screws by the addition of a dual drive version, the PLAS 182.

The company suggests that the hex head design will find applications in all sectors of industry, such as electronics, machinery, furniture and general engineering. Manufactured from polyamide 66, the standard slotted hex head offers two choices of tightening: the hexagon external drive with a spanner or socket or the slot with a screwdriver. The extension under the head provides a larger bearing surface to spread the load and preserve the work piece. Incorporated into the screw, it also avoids the need of a separate washer. PLAS 182 screws are also available in PVDF, PE, PC or PP, polymers more resistant to dilute acids and recommended for their food and medical qualities. Another material proposed is nylon glass filled, which improves the mechanical properties of PA especially tensile strength. The range will be available in sizes M4, M5, M6, M8 and M10 with lengths between 6 and 80 mm.
