A new lathe provides the company with flexibility in terms of the widths/lengths of tape, and speeds up turnaround. Previously, a customised product (such as a non-manufactured width and length) has required a large minimum order quantity. Now, the new equipment will allow customers to only order what they need rather than stockpiling tapes they might not use for months.
New staff hires include Shannon, who has joined the accounts department and will be assisting accounts manager Rachel with both purchase and sales ledger, and Rob in the warehouse team to assist with both dispatch and production. In fact, he will be one of the first to use the new machine.
