Two part instant adhesive cures without humidity

Panacol has launched three newly developed two component cyanoacrylate adhesives. Cyanolit adhesives 510, 520 and 530 have shown superior performance during extensive prelaunch testing, the company says. They are available now for sampling.

The two component reaction mechanism provides full cure in uncovered areas such as edge overflows or fillet welds. The adhesives' high viscosities also allow large gap filling, up to 5 mm, and drip-free dispensing for less waste and higher quality.

They are easy to handle and are dispensed from double cartridges with microstatic mixers, which provides control over the curing cycle. Just like conventional single component cyanoacrylates, curing takes places instantly when two substrates are pressed together. But unlike one packs, the two components of the new Cyanolit cure independent of humidity in the air, providing consistent speed of cure. Scrap costs associated with half-full bottles of polymerised adhesive can be eliminated.

The three new Cyanolit adhesives have been formulated for specific purposes: 510 adheres well to metal substrates; 520 suits the bonding of plastics and polycarbonates; while 530 has a flexible formulation with high strain capacity for users require versatility.
