Located in Gotha, Germany, Verucon is a specialist supplier of fasteners and services to a variety of manufacturing sectors throughout Germany and other markets worldwide. Including specialist CNC machining capabilities, this brings an extension to TFC’s own capabilities in region and compliments TFC’s position in Europe as a supplier of Vendor Managed Inventory services for C-Parts with various product solutions, such as Smalley Wave Springs and a portfolio of Seals & O-Rings.
Commenting on the acquisition, Morgan Burgoyne, president TFC Europe, said: “The manufacturing and supply management capabilities of Verucon are a great fit for TFC and add to our already extensive offering to manufacturers throughout Europe.”
Services include Kanban management of C-Parts, kitting and sourcing. Speaking about becoming part of TFC Europe, Wolfgang Prill, managing director of Verucon commented: “Since establishing our business in 2010, we have grown our capabilities and support many different manufacturing sectors with supply of C-Parts, adding kitting and Kanban Management to the range of services that add value to our customers. Joining TFC and AFC Industries enables us to further develop these capabilities and continue our mission to be a valuable support to European manufacturing for the future.”
Last July, TFC acquired Forward Industrial, a Midlands-based distributor of fasteners, as part of a strategy to further grow its business in the UK and Europe.
Forward Industrial combines service solutions across inventory management, direct line feed, scheduled deliveries, MRO solutions and integrated managed stores. The company offers a rapid part replacements service along with sample production runs. Forward Industrial specialises in safety-critical fasteners and turned parts, working mainly with the automotive, aerospace, rail, power generation, infrastructure, defence, and oil and gas industries.
“Forward Industrial has the same customer dedication as we do at TFC, along with a clear commitment to providing quality products and high levels of customer service,” said Morgan Burgoyne, president of TFC. “With Forward, we recognised a chance to bring on board a highly reputable business and skilled team known throughout the industry,” he added.
