The recognition followed a nomination from his mentor, Dan Mucklin, who highlighted Mattick’s commitment, rapid skill development, and positive attitude since joining the team. Mucklin’s nomination was shared with Peterborough College, where it caught the attention of senior apprenticeship leaders.
Among those who reviewed Mattick’s story were group director of apprenticeships and group apprenticeship delivery manager. Both were impressed by the standard of work Mattick has already achieved and the enthusiasm he brings to the workshop floor.
“I feel privileged to be part of such an incredible team, and I’m thankful for the experience I’m gaining,” Mattick said.
In April, Marlor announced the continued achievement of its ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications, which recognise its dedication to producing sustainable products.
ISO 14001:2015 highlights Marlor’s responsibility to reduce environmental impact. Through ongoing initiatives, the company integrates sustainable materials, optimise energy efficiency, and refine waste reduction strategies.
Achieving and maintaining these certifications strengthens our ability to deliver precision-engineered, environmentally responsible products. Marlor’s customers benefit from tools that uphold the highest standards while supporting a sustainable future.
Marlor’s efforts in sustainability extend beyond achieving these certifications, as one of the company’s key initiatives for 2025 is the introduction of its first fully electric vehicle (EV).
For several years, Marlor has been incorporating hybrid vehicles into its operations. Hybrid technology has allowed the company to cut emissions without compromising on reliability. The integration of the first fully EV aligns with an ongoing commitment to adopting greener alternatives and setting a standard for sustainability in the manufacturing sector.
Sustainable Customer Visits and DeliveriesLine
A part of Marlor’s operations involves traveling to visit customers and delivering precision-engineered tooling solutions. By transitioning to hybrid and electric vehicles, the company is not only reducing its emissions within its own facilities but also making our customer interactions and logistics more sustainable. This shift guarantees every visit and delivery contributes to a broader goal of environmental responsibility.
