The marine division of TR Fastenings (TR) received many valuable enquiries at a recent high-profile event.

These came from both UK and European companies at Seawork International, Europe’s largest commercial marine and workboat exhibition. This year was the ninth time that TR had attended the event.

The company exhibited as part of the Marine Manufacturing Showcase, a collective which brings marine supply chain companies together to promote their services at large-scale trade industry events and exhibitions. The show gave TR a valuable opportunity to showcase its diverse range of marine quality products, including its new range of enclosure products such as locking systems, hinges, latches and gaskets. Also on display was TR’s Twin Bin Direct Line Supply System and specialist black finishes for stainless steel, widely used in the interior of high quality marine vessels.

This year’s event enjoyed a steady stream of visitors on all three days. There was an optimistic mood amongst exhibitors and attendees after a good year of trading and performance for the marine industry.

Jerry Howe, head of marine sales at TR, commented: “European businesses are showing strong interest in the UK marine market at the moment, thanks to a successful year for the industry, and the quality of products and labour that UK businesses have to offer. Seawork International gives us the perfect platform to make valuable business connections and to discuss our wide-ranging capabilities in this sector, and we are thrilled with the conversations we’ve had at this year’s show.”
