From consumer electronics to large industrial cabinets, FDB’s hinges ensure secure access, durability, and smooth operation. Key benefits include easy maintenance, tamper-resistance, and long-term reliability, even in the harshest environments.

Offering a selection of hinge types, including butt, continuous, concealed, lift-off, and quarter-turn, FDB ensures a tailored solution for every design requirement. With materials like stainless steel, aluminium, and zinc-plated steel, these hinges are said to provide exceptional performance under challenging conditions, including exposure to moisture, temperature extremes, and high-frequency use. Lift-off hinges offer quick access for maintenance, while concealed hinges provide a clean, tamper-resistant look for high-security applications.

In January, FDB started offering small lift-off enclosure hinges ex-stock at its online store with its sales partner Enclosure Solutions.

The hinges have been designed particularly to suit small enclosures as used in electrical/electronic controls and distribution systems located in industrial facilities.

Small lift-off hinges are supplied with integral M6 studs and fixings so they may be mounted with both parts the same way up for easy door removal or reversed opposite to ensure the door may not be removed. Fixings are concealed internally to the enclosure so as to be inaccessible, thus aiding security of the housing against unauthorised access. Manufacture is in robust Zinc die with a black powder coat finish.

Last August, FDB Panel Fittings announced that its online store now offers many “spanner locks” ex-stock for industrial applications.

These locks feature internationally recognised operating keys based on a tool, spanner or coin and so are widely referred to as “spanner locks” This covers a range of quarter-turn locks for enclosures, office furniture, asset security, technical equipment, electrical/electronic cabinets, windows, garage doors and many other applications needing a robust closure mechanism with good sealing – generally of IP65.
