The properties of the gas spring and its implementation within the outdoor bench press system enable the control of the bench press pressure to suit the needs of the user.

Advancing the traditional free weights system, where a pin is slotted under a bank of weights to adjust to the lift strength capability, the new gas spring application offers a range of benefits.

Christer Carlberg, founder of Nordiskt Utegym, said: “From day one, our vision was to enhance public health with sustainable gym equipment within an outdoor meeting arena for people of all ages. A community minded initiative that built physical and mental health with togetherness.

Developing the new bench press system with Lesjӧfors was key to us providing a full gym equipment experience that offered accessibility to everyone. It’s next level exercise equipment which removes the risk of injury, as no free weights need to be handled, and it also delivers cost savings as it’s maintenance free and theft proof.

The Lesjӧfors gas spring at just 2kg is also far easier and greener to transport than 200kg grey cast iron weight and of course the training experience is in silence too. The gas spring allows for a true connection with nature, rather than hearing the heavy weights crashing on the traditional system.

We’re still innovating today and are soon to implement Lesjӧfors’ latest gas spring design, the super powered NitroSpring, across our squat and new generation bench presses.

Finding new compact solutions that pack a pocket-sized punch, that are even more sustainable, is everything we could have asked for and the Lesjӧfors NitroSpring is the gas spring solution of the future.”

Using environmentally smart materials, including Swedish steel and Nordic Swan eco labelled wood, Nordiskt Utegym’s equipment is Swedish made and designed for the Nordic environment, securing a greater sustainable experience whatever time of the year.
