Albert Jagger introduces its Weld Mount system

1 min read

Weld Mount is a range of bonding fasteners designed to be adhesively bonded to almost any substrate.

The Weld Mount System consists of a range of innovative bonding fasteners including cable tie mounts, studs, threaded stand-offs, floating nut plates and other mounting solutions. All of these are mounted with a unique, high strength, and non-sag bonding adhesive which, once cured, holds the bonding fastener in place on both vertical and overhead surfaces.

At the heart of the Weld Mount System is the acrylic adhesive, which has been specifically formulated to be used with the extensive range of bonding fasteners manufactured from a variety of corrosion-resistant materials such as nylon and polypropylene, as well as a range of marine grade aluminium and stainless steel.

With applications in industrial, automotive, and marine environments, Weld Mount bonding fasteners have replaced both mechanical fasteners and assembly techniques including welding, drilling, and tapping.

In applications where welding is hazardous, Weld Mount offers an alternative. Bonding fasteners are mounted on applications with restricted access. Industrial applications include securing fastening points for electrical panels and mounting conduit runs.

Uses in the automotive market include running wire bundles where holes cannot be made in composite structures. A range of stainless steel studs and clamps can also be used for mounting brake lines.

Eliminating drilling holes prevents the danger of delamination due to water intrusion. This makes Weld Mount suitable for mounting components to the hull or decks of boats, retaining hull integrity in boat building applications. The system can be used for mounting bilge pumps below the water line where holes cannot be drilled, as well as mounting battery switches and fuse blocks to cored bulkhead walls.
