The historic IWM Duxford Aviation Museum was the venue recently for Chicago Pneumatic & Desoutter UK’s annual distributor conference, at which both brands were displayed.

During the day, some 80 distributor representatives and business managers from their distributor partners visited the stands and had hands-on product demonstrations.

Among several informative presentations were:

‘Brand Awareness Marketing’ – Ray Feasey, marketing manager UK & Ireland (Chicago Pneumatic)

‘Tightening Technics’ – Thibault Valantin : product marketing manager UK & Ireland (Desoutter)

‘C P Desoutter Online’ – Sarah Driver: UK marketing coordinator.

Pictured here are Ray Feasey (on the left), Sarah Driver and Thibault Valantin.

Tools exhibited by Chicago Pneumatic included the compact and lightweight CP2003 pneumatic screwdrivers. This straight push to start ‘shut off’ tool (4 Nm capacity), weighing just 0.4 Kgs and with only 80 Db(A), was shown to be ideal for precise light assembly applications. ‘Quiet’ indeed!

To round off the day, the distributors attended a gala dinner at the venue, dining underneath wing of the aircraft Concorde. A demonstration of the lowering of its special nose cone was given, as well as a walk through this unique supersonic aircraft. Entertainment was provided by The Rockabellas performing songs from the 40s, capturing the era of this historic museum.
