Titanium quick release pins for standard or custom designs
QRP, a PEM company, which has been producing quick release pins, lanyards, latches, and access fastener products for more than 30 years, has introduced a series of titanium quick release pins for application in the military, aerospace, automotive, marine, and industrial sectors.
The pins are manufactured from traditional titanium alloy Ti-6AL-4V Grade 5 and can serve as a suitable alternative to standard steel and stainless steel pins by delivering weight savings up to 50%, depending on size. They exhibit high strength-to-weight ratio, high-temperature properties and stability, low density, and corrosion resistance due to a thin oxide surface protecting against harsh atmospheric and salt-water conditions and a wide variety of chemicals.
These single-acting high-performance pins can be ordered in various sizes with standard diameters as small as 3/16in and are offered with either 2 detents or 4 ball detents for enhanced tensile strength. Titanium can be used for both pin and spindle components and the product is available in a variety of finishes including plain (passivated), aluminium pigment, solid film lube, or both aluminium pigment and solid film.
