A third product ST Threaded Inserts are self tapping one piece fasteners threaded both internally and externally, designed to repair damaged threads and create new threads in a wide range of components and materials. Their use can reduce the thread size required due to the insert's large effective shear surface. This could save material as well as reduce cost and weight.
