Three new fasteners from Make Ends Meet

Flexi-Nut is a new product from MEMFast which provides the strength and structural integrity of a Rivet Nut with the wide grip range of a Screw Anchors.

Available currently in 'pre-bulged' version in M6 and M8 with grip range to 12.7mm, Flexi-Nut creates a strong, re-usable thread in sheet metal, plastic, GRP and composite materials by collapsing the four legs on the blind side of the panel.

The company has also released MEMSert, a swaging insert designed to provide load bearing threads in thick materials and blind holes. Available in M3 to M10, the insert features a mechanical locking mechanism for applications requiring a higher push through and pull out resistance and only needs access from one side of the workpiece. It can be easily installed using a spin action hand tool, which carries a lifetime guarantee.

A third product ST Threaded Inserts are self tapping one piece fasteners threaded both internally and externally, designed to repair damaged threads and create new threads in a wide range of components and materials. Their use can reduce the thread size required due to the insert's large effective shear surface. This could save material as well as reduce cost and weight.
