Screw fixings for use in plastics

1 min read

The Industrial Division of EJOT specialises in producing its own designed direct screw fixings for use into plastics (Delta PT), sheet metal (SHEETracs), and alloys (Altracs).

"These thread forms provide high-quality joints but at the same time offer compact design and low-cost alternatives in applications in which inserts, threaded clips, or self-clinching fasteners may be used", says EJOT's Ian Atkinson. The products can be obtained with multi-formed geometry if specific applications demand it. These products and services will be highlighted by EJOT on its stand at the Fastening & Assembly Solutions exhibition at the RAF Museum, Cosford, on 30 April. Other products that will be shown by the company at the event include EJOform multi-functional cold-formed parts and the Boss family of fixings for sheet material. Ian Atkinson reports that recent application successes include the elimination of brass inserts into an automotive engine plastic component using the Delta PT thread-forming screws, and the use of SHEETrace thread-forming screws which resulted in the elimination of self-clinching bushes into sheet metal office furniture.
