• Hexagon socket lock screw with strength class 100 (1.040 N/mm²) M6 – M12
• Hexagon lock screw with strength class 100 (1.040 N/mm²) M5 – M16
• Hexagon lock nut with strength class 10, M6 – M16
A washer for all seasons
A new product in the field of mechanical screw locks can be used in a wide variety of applications particularly where high safety demands are made on a reduced number of parts
A new universal product from Bollhoff Direct combines many individual benefits of existing screw lockings and washers and is proving to be an economic alternative to more conventional products.
The Ripp Lock washer system has radial ribs on both sides with a pitch angle larger than the thread pitch, thus providing an excellent locking effect. The washers are made of steel with a hardness of 350-500 HV and are sur- face treated with a zinc flake coating. Corrosion resis- tance is claimed to be 480h against white rust.
When the screw or nut is assembled, the radial ribs closely emboss in the counter-surface and in the under- side of the screw head so that there can only be relative movement in the separation gap between screw head and washer. The product has proved to be a reliable screw lock even under extreme vibration or dynamic stress.
Due to their high hardness, the washers can be used with screws of all property classes up to 12.9
