The THINKY ARE-400Twin Mixer is an industrial non-contact ‘planetary’ mixer for all engineering compounds, including those which are traditionally difficult to mix, such as high viscosity liquids, powders and temperature-sensitive materials.
It mixes, disperses and degasses up to 500ml/800g of material in seconds to minutes, in a sealed or lid-less container such as a jar, beaker, syringe tube or cartridge.
The ARE-400Twin has a built-in mechanism that can vary the ratio of rotation to revolution, in order to aid degassing of high viscosity materials. This also allows users to optimise the mixer for precise blending of particular materials.
A non-contact sensor unit is available as an optional add-on that detects material temperatures in containers in real time during operation. With this sensor unit, a user can set and reproduce programs optimised for materials that are sensitive to process or inherent temperature changes.
A USB port installed on the back of the unit provides the option for control and data-logging from a computer.
THINKY mixers are said to produce consistent quality, regardless of operator skills, with digitally controlled processing, and improve formulation quality on dispersion and degassing. According to Intertronics, they save significant production time versus hand mixing – lowering costs, and improving productivity and yield rate.
