Locking bolt
Nigel Pritchett, Elesa, believes that the need for a simple locking bolt is being addressed by a new product introduced by the company.
"The CKE has been designed especially for outdoor situations, from railway rolling stock to swimming pool covers."
Featuring a glass-reinforced polyamide housing with a stainless steel bolt the new product can be fitted using plugged M5 bolts from the front or M5 bolts into integral tapped bosses from the rear.
Operation is by means of "a special Elesa-designed key system that offers a fold-away key or a more conventional ball-head key. The bolt is pushed into place until it 'clicks' and is released by the insertion of the key which does not need turning. Finish is in black and, when open, the bolt is red - easily seen as a reminder to secure equipment.
