Laser welding wires

The Rofin-Baasel philosophy of providing not only a laser but a complete solution now extends to the supply of laser welding wires, reports Dave MacLellan, sales manager - micro.

"To complement the welding systems it has available, Rofin now has sourced a range of fine, clean, and straight welding wires to suit the needs of laser welders in the United Kingdom."

The materials offered by the company include:

= Tool steels - H-13, P-20.
= Stainless steels - 316, 420.
= Aluminium alloys - AISi12
= Titanium - grades 1, 2, or 5.
= Nickel alloys.

Typical diameters are between 0.2mm and 0.6mm - the most commonly used is 0.4mm. Rods are 333mm or 457mm depending upon the material and the diameter. Other alloys and diameters can be despatched on request.
