Inserts to repair threads and produce new
A range of threaded inserts has been launched by MEMFast, available in steel and stainless steel with metric coarse (M4 to M18 internal and M6 to M22 external), and imperial (Whitworth), UNC, and UNF equivalents.
These inserts are one-piece fasteners threaded internally and externally and are designed to repair damaged threads and produce new threads in a wide range of components", says MEMFast's sales manager Charlton Seal.
"They are tough and durable, thanks to their substantial wall thickness, and can be used in castings, gearbox assemblies, sump parts, and thinner sections together with applications in general maintenance, repair, and production."
