Indexing plunger range has added safety function

1 min read

Elesa's GN7336.7 indexing plungers with clamp knob can be used to position, lock and secure elements whose position needs to be adjusted.

By axially lifting the knob, the spring pressure is overcome allowing the plunger to be retracted, allowing the positioning adjustment. By turning the knob which is connected to the threaded body by means of a special hexagonal insert, the positioning of the plunger is locked. The 5mm to 8mm plunger is in AISI 304 stainless steel. Correspondingly, Elesa's new sister GN7336.8 series indexing plunger with clamping knob for safety locking are used where it is necessary to simultaneously position, lock and make secure elements whose position needs to be changed. Thanks to its special configuration, the GN7336.8 plunger cannot be extracted from the positioning hole by simply turning the knob, as for the GN7336.7 plunger, but it can be extracted only after unlocking it from the safety position by unscrewing the M8 fastening screw by 5mm and turning the knob. When the plunger is unlocked from the safety position the spring releases and the plunger can be lifted.
