Improved welding wire for steel applications
A general purpose metal active gas spooled welding wire from Murex Welding Products produces quality welds with good radiographic and mechanical properties and is ideal for welding most mild and carbon-manganese steels such as Lloyds grades A to EH (up to EH32).
Bostrand LW1 is a mild steel copper coated material and is available in 0.6, 0.8, 1.0, 1.2, and 1.6 mm diameters and uses argon/carbon dioxide mixtures or straight CO2 as the shielding gas. In addition to improved arc stability, the wire has uniform feed properties and no problems with copper flaking or reduced corrosion risk. It therefore has an improved storage life.
This welding wire has a number of approvals including ABS : 3YSA (M21); BV : SA3YM (M21) CE EN 13479; LR : 3S, 3YS DNV : 111 YMS.
