FASTENER PROVIDES ACCESS TO THE CHANNEL

An interesting application has emerged recently that has seen Bollhoff’s innovative SNAPLOC fasteners specified to replace wing-nuts on vacuum channels fitted to an industrial textile processing machine.

Prior to entering into the weaving part of the machine the textiles must first be cleaned by passing through a series of suction channels, and to facilitate the frequent cleaning out that these channels require during each shift, they must be accessed multiple times.

By specifying SNAPLOC ball and stud fasteners the customer now benefits from less downtime, reduced costs and an absolute assurance that each panel is securely fastened and cannot come undone despite the inherent vibration in the machine.

The simplicity, durability and cost-efficiency of SNAPLOC has proved highly effective in a variety of applications where secure yet quickly removable and reusable fastening is required. A wide variety of types is available, all of them encompassing the fundamental ‘ball and socket’ SNAPLOC principle. Included are versions with an externally threaded stud, an internally threaded stud, a self-tapping thread for fitment direct into plastics and also an innovative self-contained plastic push-in clip.
