Extra protection against would-be thieves

FATH has a new ErgoSafe swing handle product that, it states, will improve the security of electronic equipment enclosures.

The new ErgoSafe swing handle contains the traditional protection of a Telco-style tool lock, the added projection of optional pad lock and “a unique third layer of protection”, says FATH. “Existing swing handle products will not prevent thieves from utilising a hammer or other blunt device to knock off the padlock and padlock hasp, thus giving easy access to the interior of the enclosure. “Our new Swing Handle will not prevent the vandal from knocking off the padlock, but, if they should, the lock will automatically seize and prevent them from entering the enclosure. At this point, the enclosure cannot be entered without owner intervention.”

In addition to our three levels of protection, FATH has also redesigned the handle with a new ergonomic feel. “No more padlock posts scraping knuckles,” it adds. “No more Cylinder Locks or Telco Locks inserts to make your grip on the handle uncomfortable. What’s left is a well fitting, smooth handle that protects the user.”
