Brass inserts for plastic mouldings

The SuperTorq and SuperTorqLite ranges of hexagonal and square inserts "for softer plastics and more demanding applications" are highlighted by Austin Wade, Anchor Inserts.

The company, which has been manufacturing brass inserts for plastic mouldings for more than 40 years, specialises in "next-day supply of mould-in and post-fit inserts from M2 through to 2in BSP". Customers range from small moulders, which may order only 50 inserts, to automotive moulders, which take 250,000 inserts at a time, reports Austin Wade. "In the past twelve months we have shipped five million inserts. "In addition, the company offers custom-designed products on very short lead-times, and can manufacture general turned and milled parts such as bushes, shafts, and threaded components." Anchor Inserts will be exhibiting at the Fastening & Assembly Solutions Show, National Motorcycle Museum, 23 October.
