The 'G-Bulb' features a wide grip range together with high shear and "tensile strength generated by the rivet function and the mechanical lock of the rest mandrel in the eyelet". In combination with the crimping on the rivet body the G-Bulb is stated to provide tight and sealed joints in a large variation of hole size
