The B2007® has similar performance to the pneumatic P2007® tool, but is unencumbered by the need for a hose connection. Indeed, in operation the Lithium Ion battery powered model is equivalent in weight to its predecessor. The use of a Li-Ion battery provides long battery life allowing up to 800 Rivnuts® to be installed between charges. Apart from the number of operations, the B2007® also gives precise riveting force adjustment (set using an LCD display); electro-hydraulic technology (giving process repeatability and reliability); practical and easy handling (more ergonomic) and develops 3kN to 22kN to handle M3 to M10 in steel.
There is a new quick tooling replacement system that requires no tools and uses the existing mandrel and anvil. The LCD screen enables load adjustment, a menu of five parameter settings and battery level information. Precise force adjustment can also be set using the screen’s menu. The tool features soft coverings for comfortable handling and tool protection. Finally, there is a light to enable clear vision even in dark areas.
