Henkel, the manufacturer of industrial and engineering adhesives, has bought some seasonal cheer to vehicle crash repairers with the announcement that its Teroson Power Kit for windscreen bonding now carries Thatcham Research certification.

The Teroson 8594 Power Kit is a comprehensive polyurethane windscreen bonding method that offers a high performing, cost-effective alternative to the dominant products in the industry. And the newly awarded Thatcham assurance certificate gives would-be users the confidence that its quality and performance meets the high standards set by the most influential independent authority in the industry. The assurance is complemented by Henkel's status as a BSI PAS 125 Kitemark supplier. The basis of the Teroson Power Kit is the Terostat 8594 polyurethane adhesive. This is a one hour drive-away time product for twin airbag models. Its high modulus properties help the torsional stiffness of the car body shell and its low conductivity ensures lasting corrosion protection. Two additional products guarantee the performance of this advanced adhesive. The first is Teroson FL+ whose efficient removal of silicone residues on the windscreen ensures optimal adhesion. The other key product is Terostat 8519P, an all-in-one primer and activator for use on the metal frame, windscreen and remaining cut PU bead. Completing the kit is a range of pre-cut standard nozzles with which to apply the adhesive. As well as being used by several OEMs, Teroson 8594 HMLC Power Kit is now the standard windscreen bonding method for AA AutoWindshields nationwide. This high profile user switched from another leading brand on the strength of the Teroson product's performance and the outstanding technical support provided by Henkel.
