VIDEOS ILLUSTRATE THE ENGINEERING BEHIND CABINET HARDWARE

EMKA's series of videos provide a useful illustration of the engineering behind the company's cabinet hardware in four short productions covering the basic technologies.

The videos are entitled: Plastic injecting moulding from granules to high quality parts in many plastics for high strength functionality; Zinc die-casting from melting raw zinc to finishing of the die-cast components – a range of examples are shown; Punching, bending and forming explains the EMKA factory process which turns steel strip into high tolerance locking cams, hinges, and lock bodies; and finally Machining Technology describes high precision machining with automated equipment of car components, lock bodies, keys, connectors and hand knobs. All four videos can be viewed online on the EMKA blog. Information on EMKA products and services may be found at www.emka.co.uk, where it is also possible to download their 3D Cad files and any part or the product catalogue.
