The Vecdos system is an extremely accurate and versatile adhesive shot meter system designed to process and apply one or two component adhesives used in bonding, sealing, encapsulating, casting or potting applications.
Vecdos has been designed to integrate seamlessly into an automated process and can be used with many different types of robot including ABB, Fanuc and Kuker and will integrate with any parent system using PLC Profibus or analogue signals offering easy and safe operation and programming and clear status visibility and data acquisition.
The system is driven by electric servo motors which will outperform any traditional AC motor driven or hydraulic driven system. One for each material component. These servo motors drive a gearbox coupled to a piston.
The piston then pumps material forward into a volumetric dosing chamber. The piston has a linear encoder sensor that detects how far it has moved and calculates the volume of material moved. As the servo motor spins 1000's of times a minute the sensor records data hundreds of times a second ensuring precise dosing. The piston is protected from material leakage and potential blockage by a liquid barrier and lip seal between the piston and dosing chamber.
There a four different sizes of dosing chambers and pumps available to choose from giving you the customer a huge range of dosing options. The precise sizes are selected and specified in accordance with your specific application. Each system is fitted with robust valves with visible plunger action for easier inspection and maintenance. Each system has permanent pressure control to ensure consistent and accurate material flow. The Vecdos system can be fitted either with a plastic disposable static mixer or a mechanical/pneumatic dynamic mixer. The Vecdos system can be fed by a large range of Reinhardt Technik pressure pot systems or 20L and 200L piston pump feeding units. The Vecdos eTwin can deliver shot sizes from 2.7ccm to 570ccm.
