TR Fastenings appoints quality director
TR Fastenings has created the new position of quality director and has promoted Ian Carlton to fill the post.
Ian has been with TR Fastenings for 11 years, most recently as European quality manager. In his new role he retains overall responsibility for product quality and the resolution of any technical issues that arise in the marketplace.
"Fastenings may only represent 1 or 2% of the total cost of raw materials on a production line, but the cost of failure is 100% of the value of the end product," commented Ian. "Should anything go wrong with a fastener, its substrate or the fixing process, we are there to provide service and support until the solution is found."
This promotion to the senior management level underpins TR's determination to maintain the high Internal and supply chain standards which have made it a supplier of choice across the globe.
