Tesa is realigning its consumer division with a new appointment, Dr Andreas Mack, as a new member of the executive board. He is responsible for product development and marketing, and takes on direct responsibility for sales and regional marketing in the European regions.

In the consumer division, which is focused on Europe and Latin America, tesa markets innovative product solutions that are intended for everyday use in offices and households as well as in the craftsman and trade sectors. The umbrella brand tesa offers end consumers a wide range of more than 300 products that are available in DIY stores and hypermarkets, as well as in stationery stores and, of course, online. In the craftsman business area, the focus is on custom-made product assortments for professional craftsmen as well as on the development and implementation of target-group-oriented marketing concepts.

Tesa says that its brand’s potential among end consumers is to be exploited even better in the future. This includes, in particular, the use of all digital channels and options that are available to further expand the business.

Most recently, Andreas Mack was president of global marketing at Freudenberg Home and Cleaning Solutions (FHCS). Prior to this position, he worked three years for the Swedish hygiene products manufacturer Essity (formerly known as SCA) as global brand director, and for 17 years in various consumer functions at Procter & Gamble.

"We are pleased to welcome Andreas Mack at tesa, who is a very experienced top manager for fast moving consumer goods. He will strengthen the tesa consumer business and develop it in a future-oriented way, together with the entire executive board," says Dr. Norman Goldberg, CEO of tesa SE.

Oliver Höfs, board member for the trade division at tesa SE, will leave the company by mutual agreement on 30 September 2021, to take on new tasks outside of tesa. The Executive Board and the Supervisory Board would like to thank him for his excellent performance over the course of many years of cooperation.

tesa is present in 100 countries and operates plants in Germany, Italy, China, the USA, and soon also in Vietnam. Around three quarters of the tesa Group’s sales (2020: EUR 1,326 million) are generated by applications for industries. Together with its international clients, tesa develops innovations that are customized at product and process level. Already more than 130 tesa tapes may be installed in an electric car and over 70 in a smartphone. In the printing and construction industries, too, tesa is constantly penetrating new segments and countries with its special adhesive tapes.

The company generates almost one quarter of its sales with products for end consumers and professional craftsmen, with 300 applications. Since 2001, tesa SE is an independent 100% affiliate of Beiersdorf AG, with 4,800 employees today.
