Ten years of fastening
Alcoa Fastening Systems has announced that it is celebrating a ten-year business relationship with Miloco, the French manufacturer of air cargo containers.
"Using Huck Magna-Grip fasteners Miloco repairs between 25,000 and 30,000 containers a year", reports Marc Ait-Ouarabi, Alcoa's customer manager in France. "In addition about 7000 new containers are constructed."
Miloco's production manager, Jean Aubin Kandissounon, points out that containers can be expensive to repair. "The fact that we require only one type of fastener, easily installed by just one operator, means that we can carry out the necessary work or production quickly and efficiently thus providing a fast response and better value for money. In addition, the completed product provides a better aesthetic finish compared to standard non-structural rivets which we used previously."
